A frontend developer deals with the “external” part of the site, its user interface. He is responsible for the layout of the site or service, configuration of forms, buttons, sliders and other website functionality. The frontend knows how best to implement some functionality of the site.
What is the difference between coders and Front End developers? Web designers are engaged only in make-up and are proficient only in HTML+CSS. Frontends not only layout, but also program interactive elements.
The pros of the frontend sphere:
- High salaries. Even for beginners they start from $ 400-600, qualified specialists salary can be in the range of 2-3,5 thousand dollars.
- High demand. The demand for professionals in this field was, is and will continue to be in the foreseeable future.
- Growth Prospects. You can be sure you will not be bored. The frontend is dynamically developing, there is always something to grow and learn.
- It’s a wide sphere. You can work with Web or mobile applications, websites.
The disadvantages of working as a frontend:
- Requires mastering a large number of technologies. The three main ones are: HTML, which is a web markup language; CSS, which is cascading style sheets; and JavaScript, which is the main programming language for Front End. That’s not all. It is important to know at least one of the three frameworks: Angular.js, React.js, Ember.js. These are the ones most web studios use.
- It is necessary to develop all the time and keep abreast of new technologies (however, this point applies to the whole IT sphere).
Frontend specialization allows you to work not only in the office, but also remotely, which is a nice bonus.
